| FAMILY ROOM / DEN | |
| Here
is our
family room, located in the
lower level of our house. The only thing left to do is add the crown molding and a nice area rug!! (By the way, I used a wide angle lense on the "after" photos so that is why some of them seem a bit "rounded" at the corners) |

FIREPLACE DH and I love the fireplace, it is one of the selling points for us on the house! Thank goodness none of the previous owners ever painted over the beautiful red brick!! The only drawback is the ugly insert which I have camofloughed (sp?) with a pretty screen I found at Ross's. I have posted a close-up picture of it further down the page. |

| Here is our gorgeous new entertainment center that my DH stained and put together. We purchased it on sale at Fred Myer - the whole unit, armoire, bookcases and doors all for under $800! I love it! It is made of solid alder and has some nice detailing. | |
| Got the lamps
on sale at
JC Penneys. The shades are
were a bright white , so I recovered them and added the beaded trim! |

| The fireplace screen I purchased at Ross's. I thought it was too bright so I bought some of the metallic spray paint and first painted it black and then went back over with gold to get the bronzy effect. The cattail arrangements I made with silks from Michaels. The pots were from Marshalls and used to be floral, I painted them black and stamped on the design | |

| Original Currier & Ives Clipper Ship prints that had belonged to my mother. The frames are from Walmart 2 for $10! | |
| I made the curtain panels out of a beautiful jaquard fabric from Hancocks Fabric and then added the gorgeous large wooden curtians rods to jazz them up! It is hard to find the larger 3" wooden rods, finally found some at Linen and things! | |
| We bought a new 57" DLP HDTV Flat
sceen tv so the armoire was removed. I love how skinny and light it is, it fits so nicely right between the bookshelves!! The table is sits on is too small so we are looking to find something nicer to replace it. Here are how it looks now: 2006 |
